MH - Going Batty Doodles

Some sketches I did based on a conversation I had with while playing (sort of) MH3.

We have both agreed, and the jury is in! MH NEEDS a bat monster! As he said, bats come in plenty of different shapes, so there is lots of material to draw from for monster designs. Here is a concept I envisioned.

This bat creature has tri sectioned ears, each, which has a range of motion, allowing each individual piece to rotate like a radar dish and funnel sound into it's ears. It's eyes are almost non functioning, as it is slowly lossing them. They are black with a milky white glaze, a symptom often exhibited in blindness. Finally, many of the bat's coarse hairs have evoloved to sense vibrations in the air.

What initially appears to be 6 fingers per wing is actually still 5, as one is a toxic spine. This spine is filled with a pain causing neuro agent, that causes it's victims to writhe on the ground in pain. Which, obviously creates some noise for the bat to track.

Having an adept sense of hearing, the bat is susecptible to sonic bombs when it stands to open it's ear flaps and listen. While this may stun the bat, it will also cause it to instantly rage following the short amount of time it is unable to react.

The creature also has 2 sets of very sharp talons on it's feet, which have evolved into a shape that is great for grasping smaller creatures and unwary hunters!

If the bat initiates a MH3 style QTE, it can be stopped with either a dung or sonic bomb.

Other than just physical attacks, the bat is also able to use it's echolocation as a weapon, wether by stunning hunters (the roar that forces yout to cover your ears is also it gaining a rough image of the area), or forcing it into Kushala Daora wind blast like attacks.

I think it could be weakest to either fire or thunder. Fire sounds better for some reason.
