Description

Just a picture of two Plesiosaur figures I have recently aquired. The one on the left I won up in Seattle a couple weeks ago at a Funland like place next to the hotel we stayed in. It was a prize machine like I had never seen, basically there was a large dish full of toy dinosaurs that was contantly rotating, and above that was a large, orange, metal T.rex sekeleton that you were able to control the jaw of to pick up dinosaurs. After you put your two quarters in the machine would lower the rext to the dish's level and and allow you to hit a "stop button" that made the dish stop spinning, you could then move the rex left or right, and by using the aforementioned jaw function you could pick up a dinosaur and carry it over to the drop chute, I was able to win the green plesiosaur and a ceratosaur (all but the plesiosaur were pretty low quality, its the only one I wanted anyway) at the same time! I got a hold of the ceratosaur but noticed my plesiosaur had a good hold in there to, so I held the jaw lever closed as tightly as I could, I would not allow the plesiosaur to escape my grasp lol. Only problem with the toy is that it is hollow in the back and doesn't sink in water, it just tips forward then to the side....

On the right we have a new Skeleflex Plesiosaur! Much like Xevoz, Skeleflex use a ball and joint system in order to connect and disconnect to form thousands of combinations of dinosaurs or new species. When I initially saw the package (a bone with metal looking pieces coming out of it, all plastic) I thought it was really cool and would make a nice addition next to the Seattle Pleisosaur, when I finally got home and opened it, I was surprised, for it was much larger than I thought, which made it much better. This Plesiosaur has convinced me to pick up some more sets, which aren't limited to just dinosaurs it turns out [link] This thing is going to be great for some diorama I got in mind.

How could I not get these with my renewed interest in Cryptozoology lately? Nessie figures rock!

Hmmm... That Seattle prize machine sounds really interesting... Sadly, I think I won't get to see anything like it here in Mexico.
I also got me a Skeleflex plesiosaur, and by toying here and there with the number of vertebrae in the neck I got what could easily pass for a Macroplata skeleton, so yay me. The large head and rather short neck of the original configuration.
Anyways, it's too bad tha the image resolution hardly lets us appreciate the quality of your Seattle plesiosaur figure, but still, congrats on your acquisitions!
