Cryptid Files

Journal Entry: Thu Jun 12, 2008, 3:16 PM
ON SECOND THOUGHT, I PLAN ON CLOSING THE CRYPTID FILES AT THE END OF AUGUST. THEY WILL BE RESSURECTED NEXT YEAR!

ALWAYS CHECK THE NUMBERING BEFORE YOU POST SOMETHING! MAKES IT ALOT LESS COMPLICATED!

A stated in my previous journal, I am begining my Cryptozoology project early, but I will not forget to draw my gift art and art trades! I'll get to em eventually.

Cryptozoology is the study of hidden animals, such as the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, The Yeti, Mothman, New Jersey devil, etc, etc.

Ok, the entire point of my Cryptozoology project (which from here on out will be dubbed the "Cryptid Files") is to show my love of cryptids and present my views and theories. And I since decided to make this a multi deviant effort you are welcome to join in on this as well. Just comment here or draop me a note. Now onto the rules

1. Whenever I put up a dev with a cryptid it will be titled as an example "Crypt001A Nessie", and if you wish to do the same cryptid then just title it "Crypt001B Nessie", the next person will do "Crypt001C Nessie" and so on and so forth. If I haven't drawn the cryptid then simply just put "Crypt002A Bigfoot" to kick off the numbering.

To put it simply, change the letter if it is the same cryptid, change the number if it is a new one.

2. When you post it you can put your comments on the cryptid, evidence, or wether you believe in it or not. You don't have to write any of that if you don't want to, the entire point of this project is to have fun and show your love of cryptids!

3. Link people back to this journal, it is all that is required in your description.

4. Have fun!

NEW CLARIFICATIONS, PLEASE READ!

5. Group Pics go under the "Crypt000" tag, unless they are a group of similar cryptids such as a group pic of sea serpents or something, but you must at least indicate which is which and what relation they are to each other.

6. I will allow both the Dover Demon, Flatwoods monster, and Hopkinsville Goblins, becuase I classify them as in between. Otherwise, please try to keep the cryptids earth based. Becuase you will eventually have you chance at aliens with my E.T. Files, when I do that I'm not sure, probably in the next couple monthes.

7. I will allow dragons from now on as long as you explain why you think they can be considered cryptids and add at least one sighting in the description. And try no to styalize them to far away from the sightings!

Tagged and Cryptozoology

Journal Entry: Fri May 16, 2008, 8:17 PM
I was just recently tagged by :iconhawanja:

Here are the rules:
1. post these rules
2. each person tagged must post 8 random facts about themselves.
3. tags should write a journal of these facts
4. at the end post 8 more bloggers are tagged and named

Onto the facts, this is the second time I've answered this particular tagg I think.

1. My graduation on Sunday, I'm slightly nervous.

2. I paint much better on models than on canvas and paper.

3. I have an odd fear of static electricity.

4. I did not do senior skip day with the rest of my just becuase I didn't want to, plain and simple.

5. I keep falling asleep frequently this past week, its wierding me out.

6. Still single lol.

7. I have a guild wars account, my name on there is Dragons Mana, but I keep negeleting to mention it here. I'm still a newb as I got all of the games recently (Platinum Edition, Factions and Nightfall collectors editions, thats right, I got the Kuunavang mini pet) but haven't had time to play it. Currently in Borlis Pass on Prophecies, any help would be appreciated from anybody on here.

8. I still need to get my permit, I'm gonna try on Friday.

Now on to my Cryptozoology project. I would very much like to make this a multi deviant effort. How I think it should work is that whenever I put up a dev with a cryptid it will be titled "Crypt001A Nessie", and if you wish to do the same cryptid then just title it "Crypt001B Nessie", the next person will do "Crypt001C Nessie" and so on and so forth. If I haven't drawn the cryptid then simply just put "Crypt002A Bigfoot" to kick off the numbering. I'm thinking about something along those lines. When you post it you can put your comments on the cryptid, evidence, or wether you believe in it or not. You don't have to write any of that if you don't want to, the entire point of this project is to have fun and show your love of cryptids! Comment on here or drop me a note if you wish to join in this.

Almost Here......

Journal Entry: Mon May 12, 2008, 6:47 PM
Well, summer is almost here for me, and I will be able to spend more time on my art. But I've decided I will suspend work on my Apocaron project becuse I decided I have been drawing kaiju for far too long. Plus I am really getting into cryptozoology as a main intrest lately, so after all my art trades, contest entries, and gift art is done I will begin work on a series of cryptids.

Current list of artistic obligations:

Trades:
Vichy X Basium for :iconkyouryuu-tsuda:

Contest:
Vialgen for :icongodzilla-kaiju:
Godzeera for :iconhtfshimmer:

Gift Art:
"Tale of Two Queens" - a picture of mine and :iconsoirun: 's tyranid queens.
Sigmar, Wielder of the Omegarex sword - Picture of :iconsoirun: 's main character holding the Omegarex sword [link]
Goradon for :icontwisteddragon2:

Also, yesterday I just got done playing the game known simply as "The Darkness", based on the comic book, for those of you who don't know. It is a great game, it has excellent game play, and absolutely wonderful story. I can't remember the last time I was so absorbed in a video game story. I felt, anger, sadness, everything! I have been wanting to play this game since it's release last year, but lacked the money to buy it, I also forgot. Well anyways I got it last saturday at Walmart for $20.00, I was expecting it to be still $30.00 (as it was the day I was planning on buying it anyway), so savings for me! Anyways, the game is a first person shooter which involves staying in the dark in order to use your dark powers, for they drain when it the light. I very much enjoy devouring the hearts of my enemies......... My rating A, becuse of the ending, good thing they just implied a sequel a a little while ago.

Journal Entry: Sun Apr 20, 2008, 12:57 AM
Hi, yet again. I would just like to say that I am beginning work on my Apocaron concept [link]

5. Dionaea - plant kaiju, mix of a ressurection fern, greater bladderwort, dragon plant, corpse flower, venus fly trap and of course some other animals thrown in there.

6. Mecha brothers - sorta a side story involved in the plot about two giant humanoid mechs piloted by brothers.

7. Garron - related to #6, but as for now, I'm not telling how.

8. Agassou - Black panther kaiju

9. Robo wild cat - self explanatory

10. Teeros - pterasaur kaiju

11. Batalic - right hand henchman of main bad guy

12. Halabor - left hand hencman of main bad guy

Well.... I Got my SAT scores

Journal Entry: Sat Mar 29, 2008, 10:27 PM
I got a 1496.... I don't know if thats good or bad. My parents think its bad, but I really don't like listening to thier opinions. Anywho during the month of April I need to get work done on my senior project (THE ONE THING I HATE ABOUT OREGON!) So I won't be on as much, but I'll still finish anything I said I would. I just got done palying Devil May Cry 4 a few hours ago. Honestly.... The best freakin DMC game ever! It was awesome playing as Nero, and I'm very glad you got to still play as Dante I mean Lucifer is one of the coolest Devil Arms of the series. And Pandora is just the coolest gun ever (its a briefcase that turns into a machine gun and a myriad of other guns). If you have a PS3 (or 360 w/e) I'd highly recommend it to any fan of the series or action games in general. I really loved all the unique bosses (which is my favorite part of any video game). Anyway A+
